Interlace; In Practice
Nottingham Castle Museum & Gallery, Nottingham, 2010

Commissioned by Nottingham Castle Museum & Gallery, 'Interlace', gave me the opportunity to extend my practice from making for the human form to the creation of an installation in an Edwardian bandstand. Here I took residence over three days, inviting visitors to join me in this beautiful structure and help garland the interior with hand-coiled textile fragments. Each form then delicately suspended flowed around 8 metres within the space in a spectrum of colour and sympathetic to its setting within the castle gardens.
